I need to figure out how to open my hood with the cable missing- it came out in my hands! And this car is apparently built like a tank-there has to be a way to avoid taking it to a specialist, right?

 Can someone please help me figure out how to open the hood on my 1987 BMW 325? I pulled the cable out when I tried to pop the latch- the car is like a damn tank, and I cannot for the life of me find a latch to pop... there IS one, I know- just, how do I get to it, and where do I go in the car to do it?

 Youll probably have to go under the car find the lacth and manually pop the hood. Another option is if there is any cable left to pull, pull it with a pair of pliers, I had to do that with a regal I had for years.
